We are from Michigan and decided to take a cruise for our 5th anniversary. So we cruised up from Vancouver, BC on the Norwegian Cruise Line northbound to Whittier, Alaska on the Inside Passage. What beautiful sites we saw! Then, decided to spend a couple of days in Alaska before going back home. I am… Read more “Penny & Mark”

The minute we walked in we wanted to move in. Born and raised in this great state, we have been to other friends’ fishing cabins and lodges. Sorry, friends, this one beats yours by far! We are already planning another trip and haven’t even gotten on our snow machines to play yet. We love how… Read more “Jeanne & Paul”

We have never been to a more beautiful place in all our lives! We loved everything about our stay at Gate Creek Cabins. Everything was perfect–the cabin, the lawn and flower beds, the beauty of the whole area and the weather! The canoes and kayaks were so much fun for the whole family. It was… Read more “Tim & Cara”

Gate Creek Cabins is a perfect setup for rest, relaxation, adventure or in our case, a remote refuge where we took the opportunity to work on our business models. Susie... read more was very accommodating upon arrival and the best resource for information on things we wanted to do.
We chose to stay in the Trap Line cabin which was very cozy and supplied everything we wanted or needed as a couple. We were able to tap into the internet through their WiFi connection so that made our business planning go smoothly. Outside of our own personal work we were able to enjoy the outdoors and view Denali from the back porch deck. There is a grill on the deck but we chose all of our cooking inside. The kitchen is loaded with all the accoutrements including a stockpile of herbs and spices.
This is a very peaceful getaway and a great place to find wildlife if that is of interest. In the four days during our stay we have encountered moose, black bear, caribou, porcupine, jack rabbit, ptarmigan bird, great sunsets and views of Denali. These were all found not too far from the property during our driving escapades. I highly recommend these accommodations. Next time we come it will be for snowmobiles and the Norther lights.

This is a must stay when on the Parks Highway. Lovely charming property and grounds. The attention to every little detail is incredible. Even the sheets and towels smell like... read more they were washed in my home. We don’t visit Alaska without staying here.

We stayed in the "Denali" cabin (which did not disappoint, we had just a few hours of being able to see the mountain!) with three kids and three adults -... read more it was just perfect, well-stocked amenities, full kitchen, lake with kayaks provided. Just a nice place to relax. We went fishing nearby at a very popular spot with lots of salmon. This is, like many other reviewers have noted, a remote place, but a rather convenient stop between the more busy Anchorage and Denali, and perfect if you want a more remote experience without having to fly. One day, when it rained, we drove into Talkeetna (about 40 minutes each way) which was a very cool (but pretty touristy) little town.

Thank You
Rod and Oliver,
We want to thank you for standing in as our best man. After we found out Gary’s brother couldn’t make it to Trappers Creek, we were wondering who we would ask to get to be our second witness. You and Oliver were perfect. I will post the picture we took that day on your website. The two of you made our day!
Thank you soooo much!
